The Benildean sports community began as early as a few years after the establishment of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.

Under the name of Benilde Blazers, the college first began its journey into the arena of sports when they joined as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in 1998.

Despite the college’s late arrival to the scene of NCAA’s long history, it didn’t take long for them to make an impact on the league.
